Pottery for Beginners Taster Workshop (Adults)
Have you always wanted to get your hands on some clay and try creating your own ceramics? Our Pottery for Beginners Taster Workshop gives you the opportunity to have a go at pottery.
During this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn about the art of pottery, what pottery tools you'll need to start out, and basics on glazes. Our expert tutor will demonstrate hand-building techniques, such as creating a pinch pot and coiling. Next, you will get the chance to make something. A pot or small vase is a good starting point and is an enjoyable way to help you get used to handling clay. You can also try out some different ways of adding texture and decoration to personalize your work.
At the end of class, choose one of your beautiful pottery pieces, which will be taken away to be bisque fired. Please note this is a long process and can take up to a month to be ready for collection. We will get in touch once your work is ready.
This session is suitable for all levels. Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 12 students and are only available via pre-booking. You can book your place online or visit our store in Mosta.
