Introduction to Oil Painting – Learn about materials, tools, and how to set up your workspace.
Colour Mixing & Theory – Master the basics of colour blending for harmonious compositions.
Underpainting & Blocking In – Understand the importance of underpainting and blocking in shapes to build structure.
Layering & Depth – Develop depth and realism through glazing and gradual layering techniques.
Exploring Techniques – Experiment with impasto (palette knife painting), sfumato (soft transitions), and alla prima (wet-on-wet).
Detailing & Refinement – Enhance your painting with precision brushwork and finishing touches.
Final Varnishing & Critique – Learn how to properly varnish and protect your artwork, plus receive constructive feedback.
This course is designed for complete beginners and ensures a supportive, hands-on learning experience to help you develop confidence in oil painting.

Location: Art Academy Mosta (131, Constitution Street, Mosta)
Requirements: Ages 16+, Students must bring their own art materials & tools
What’s Included: Hands-on teaching and individual attention
Certification: Upon attendance of 80% of the Course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance
