Canvas Painting & Mixed Media for Teens (Ages 9 to 14)
The Canvas Painting & Mixed Media course is an exciting creative journey designed for young artists aged 9 to 14. This hands-on course allows participants to explore the world of canvas painting while incorporating various mixed media techniques to create unique, textured, and visually striking artwork.
Through guided demonstrations, hands-on activities, and personalised instruction, students will develop fundamental artistic skills, experiment with different materials and textures, and discover their own artistic style.
What You'll Learn
Canvas Painting Techniques – Brushwork, colour blending, and layering.
Mixed Media Exploration – Combine different materials to create depth and texture.
Creativity & Expression – Develop a personal artistic style through experimentation.
Composition & Design – Learn how to balance elements for visually appealing artwork.
Incorporating 3D Elements – Use mixed media materials to enhance your creations.
This course encourages imagination, self-expression, and creative problem-solving in a supportive and inspiring environment. Participants will be introduced to both traditional and contemporary art techniques, allowing them to explore, experiment, and create with confidence.
Course Details:
Mode: Once Weekly (2 hour)
Duration: 10 lessons
Where: Art Academy Zurrieq (88, Triq Matteolo Saliba, Zurrieq) or Location: Art Academy Nadur (Triq Agius de Soldanis, Nadur, Gozo)
Requirements: Students will need to bring their own art materials
Age Requirement: Students are required to be between 9 to 14 years at the time of attending the course.
Certification: Upon attendance of 80% of the Course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance

Tax Deduction on Fees paid for Cultural and Creative Courses:
Parents of children under 16 who attended any Cultural or Creative courses at Art Academy are eligible for a tax deduction scheme of up to a maximum of €300 for each child. Parents are entitled to claim a deduction against their chargeable income of up to a maximum of €300 for each child.
You don't need to do anything, we will apply for you after the completion of the course.
