Mosaic Course for Beginners

What You’ll Learn
Introduction to Mosaics – Learn about the history, styles, and materials used in mosaic art.
Design & Pattern Planning – Create your own designs and transfer them onto a working surface.
Tile Cutting & Shaping – Master the use of mosaic nippers and tools to cut tiles with precision.
Material Selection & Composition – Work with glass, ceramic, and stone tiles for different effects.
Mosaic Working Techniques – Learn the three main mosaic techniques, the direct method, double direct method and the indirect (reverse) method.
Adhesives & Fixing Techniques – Learn how to securely attach tiles for durability and design.
Grouting & Finishing – Apply grout and polishing techniques for a professional look.
Hands-on Practice & Personal Projects – Work on guided exercises and create unique mosaic pieces.

Duration: 10 Lessons
Location: Art Academy Mosta (131, Constitution Street, Mosta)
Requirements: Ages 16+, Students must bring their own art materials & tools
